AdventHealth Centra Care Winter Haven

We were super pleased with our care. The staff were wonderful, efficient and fast, even though they were swamped. Our wait time was very short. The doctor was awesome, knew exactly what was wrong and prescribed what was needed to address my issue. A totally great experience. We'd highly recommend this clinic and would definitely return if needed.

The staff were very nice and they accommodated me when I asked to come to my appointment early. So why a 3 star review? When I came in i told them I didn't have insurance and was fine with the $318 upfront charge. After the appointment the prescriptions came up to around $30 which I'm also fine with. A couple days later I get an invoice for another $405 which seems excessive for the work done, all they did was wrap the burns on my feet and use the same ointment I paid $10 for.

It was a blessing to have the nurses and the Dr Jennifer they were very good and really concerned. Even the receptionist had me back there and done my vitals and a urine test . And pretty much no wait at all . My blood pressure was high the Dr asked a lot of questions and also the nurse asked a lot of questions that told me I was in a great place and that they really cared. Even the receptionist was concerned I will definitely go back if I can't get into see my primary. Thank you all so much for the time you spent with me and your concerns. I am very grateful.

Let me start off by saying both doctors that I spoke with were so kind. Unfortunately, I didn’t get so lucky with the receptionists. My first day getting bandaged up went great, however, I had been bitten by a cat pretty bad on my index finger at my workplace. As you can imagine, cats have tons of bacteria in their mouths making a bite super prone to infection. The clinic had run out of amoxicillin and instead I was prescribed an antibiotic called “cefalexin”. That antibiotic was simply not working. My hand had begun to swell down past my knuckles with redness spreading throughout the day. (Signs of a spreading infection). I called the urgent care and explained to them that my antibiotic was not working and if they could ask the doctor whether or not he could get me a referral for some amo

Got here at 2:30pm on 2/21/26. I was seen by the Doctor and he prescribed a ton of meds for my sinus infection, he said it would be at the pharmacy in an hour. At 4:40 I called the pharmacy and asked if my scripts were ready. They never received any scripts. I called the office at 4:45 and was told they sent it but will cancel it and resend it. At 7:30 I went to pharmacy and they still hadn’t gotten any scripts. I had to wait until today 2/22/26 to go back to this facility when they opened at 8:00, to find out what happened. I also was not given a summary of care. I was told it was in the patient portal, it was NOT. At 8:12 I was told the provider is looking into my chart now. I think they were more concerned for the staff member’s birthday than they were for caring for the patient. I hig
