Advocate Beverly Center

I went here for routine lab work. The laboratory technician did not introduce herself. She also wore her picture ID turned around, so you could not see her name. Less than 24 hours later, my arm was swollen , black , blue and severely bruised. I called back and another advocate representative alleged she did not know anything about the Advocate Beverly Center... unbelievable. Unfortunately, a routine lab visit turned into a bad experience with me having to have a medical doctor look at this bruising. It is unfortunate because there are good doctors at this location, but the lab and support staff interactions can make it a nightmare. Now, im left trying to heal my arm from dealing with this lab technician.

Came to write a review on behalf of my past first doctor’s appointment here to see my new Primary Care Provider. Doctor Choi & her assistant Haneen were so welcoming and kind. Upon arriving I was a bit hesitant and nervous because I haven’t had very great experiences with providers before. I decided to switch and have a new start & I’m so happy I did. During this visit I felt very cared for & comfortable talking with them both. They were great listeners, didn’t invalidate my feelings, and were very supportive. Would definitely recommend anyone to visit Dr Choi if you’re in need of a new PCP & want a great experience.

Moody receptionist but friendly nurses. Once I was seen by the doctor after waiting 3 hours she basically brushed me off and didn’t try to help me even though I was in so much pain. She prescribed ibuprofen. I went to a different urgent care to get a second opinion and turns out I have shingles! My advice is to listen to your patients and really try to help instead of assuming!!!!! SMH do better!!!!!!! I will never ever go here again!

My husband and I have been waiting for well over an hour and half with him having severe right side pain in the stomach area. We are well aware that there is a wait time as we have been here before on several occasions. Our last experience was not as bad as this one. Again, we understand and expect a wait time. However, when you bring it to the attention of the of the receptionist/nurse that his pain is increasing dramatically, please don't tell someone "well he'll have to wait his turn.". Again, understand waiting but at least have some empathy when you are relaying a message, as people are concerned and might be scared of what's happening. Being in healthcare requires some form of empathy. Also a little kindness doesn't hurt.

My mom has been coming here for years but lately I'm disappointed in this facility. Not only does my mom now need a wheelchair to a serious recent illness, she's needs around the clock oxygen. Which had to be left in the car during today's visit because not only are the wheelchairs super old, the one we used didn't even lock and especially compared to other Advocate sites, it did not even have the receptacle on the chair for an oxygen tank. Pls do better.
