Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Center - Dr. Thomas J. Shen

Dr. Shen and Barbara are professional, cheerful and want to help. Dr. SHEN listened to my problem and answered every concern I had, even though I was forgetting things. He had a direct answer how to deal with my illness and notified my other doctors also. A terrific guy who knows more than his field. I am very grateful to him and his terrific staff.

This was my first visit with Dr. Shen. It was quite pleasant. Upon entry we were greeted by the front desk clerk, she was very friendly, next we were introduced to the nurse, he was cheerful, funny, and made us feel comfortable while testing for allergies, I didn't feel a thing throughout the entire allergy testing process. As for Dr. Shen, he was soft spoken, straight to the point (which I like), he listened to my concerns and he made everything clear and straight forward (no confusion), I appreciate how quick, efficient, and nice he was. I definitely recommend Dr. Shen & his staff!

Dr. Shen helped our daughter so quickly and accurately with her asthma trouble. She is so much better! We are so grateful for Dr. Shen's excellent medical care! His staff was very friendly and kind also! Thank you.

I have systemic Mastocytosis. Dr Shen told me 'I wasn't as sick as I thought I was' 2 years ago. . He then told me I needed a psychiatrist and called one to treat me. Now, here I am so much sicker. In and out of the hospital. My tryptase is always high and is now 27.9 which is extremely high. The Mastocytosis has even impacted my spinal fluid and my protien level is twice the normal value. All of my excess weight is inflamation. My normal weight is 130 lbs. I was at 247 and am now down to 193 with such a long way to go. I'm receiving immunoglobin infusions which is what is reducing the inflammation. I recently heard Dr Shen is retiring. Thank goodness. I hate to think of him treating more people the way he treated me. I wonder if this is a case for negligence.

At first I thought they were rude, but that's not the case at all! These ppl are friendly and very helpful. Dr shen helped my son so much and I'm thankful we've been able to continue to see Dr shen over the years.
