Ascent Urgent Care & Walk In Clinic

Dr. Asgard diagnosed me with Sarcoidosis back in 2014. Being a Rheumatologist, he was able to spot it quickly, after others had missed it. He has followed my care and has sent me to other supporting doctors as necessary. He's awesome and has a great sense of humor. His staff in Howell is awesome and they are really supportive and caring. I have had limited interactions with his staff in Fenton, but they have been great too. You will not be disappointed.

The two stars are because the girls at the desk were great. The doctor was a joke. I went in for an ear ache. I had my (legit) Service Dog with me. The doctor was clearly afraid of the dog. He asked which ear and looked at just that ear. He didn’t look at the other, listen to my heart or lungs. He confirmed my pharmacy and said I have an ear infection. That’s it. He was in the room max of 4 minutes and didn’t even give basic care

This place was weird. Initially came in for an infection and came out with a false diagnosis for rhuematoid arthritis (not delivered to me by the doctor but thrown to one of his nurses, he goes "i will have xxx tell you what you have." (I had a strange mystery pain in my arm). He told me my diagnosis was based of a number on my bloodtest, i asked for a copy and asked him to show me where the number was. He told me i needed NEW tests and ignored the inital request. Took those blood results to ANOTHER rhuematologist who told me outright there was nothing there to prove or support the diagnosis. So he has me relying on his medications and services, for some reason not completely working with our insurance even though it was "covered." That place is an absolute mess and i refuse to come back.

I have been here several times. Always super fast and efficient. I have an abscessed tooth and the saw me first thing this morning. Got me started on meds so I can get the dental work done asap. I’m literally going to have it all done by Thursday and didn’t have to try to wait for an opening at the dentist to get an antibiotic! These people deserve 10 stars

Would highly recommend this urgent care. The whole staff was polite and friendly and Dr. Asghar was a breath of fresh air to deal with compared to many others in the medical field nowadays. Great attitude, friendly, didn’t rush me in and out. Very satisfied with my experience!
