The care is great. The billing department is awful. They couldn’t code an ingrown toe nail. After 5 or 6 half hour + calls I finally had to call my insurance company and explain that I wasn’t in a car accident, I fell off my bike and broke my collarbone. My health insurance company wanted my auto insurance company to pay my hospital bill. After 4 months goes past and I start getting final notice, pay immediately or be sent to collections. Another 3 more 45 minutes calls to billing and all but $25.78 has been settled. 10’s of thousands payed and they send me to collections for $25.78.save your credit score pay the money even if you don’t own them…….

My Husband Greg Baker aka Big Cheese was transfered by Ambulance from Aspirus Ironwood on 12/19/2025 in Critical Condition and very close to death diagnosed with necrotising fashitis. He was immediately rushed into surgery to remove the infection and dead tissue from his left buttock area! Surgeon called me and prepared me for 5he worst. High Mortality rate. After being on a ventilator and in a drug induced coma for 6 days he pulled thru and today was discharged to rehab to continue his healing. Thank you to all the awesome Dr.s , nurses, ot, pt. for saving his life and give the VERY BEST care! Also to the cooks for the fantastic food and the cleaning staff for all they do and anyone else that was involved in his care THANK YOU! IF I could I would give you all a 10 star rating! Bless you a

St Luke was incredible. Aspirus is absolutely horrible. I've called for coding review requests 3 times for my lactation consultant appointments, and each time I call they say there is no record of the request. They say it was an office visit, instead of a lactation consultant visit and after care appointment which their website said was a free service. Instead, they are charging me $200 per appointment, nearly $1000 which for new parents is not easy to swing. The tell me to reach out to insurance, and insurance says to reach out to them. What a horrible, predatory system. Now, they are billing everything as out of state when they are very clearly in network for my insurance. Aspirus is absolutely terrible, predatory, money hungry, and they care about profit, not patients. A shame as St

The staff at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota, this hospital although challenging to find where to go without a map and a guide. Has the best staff compared to the many hospitals I've been in the staff, doctors and nurses were an excellent group and I enjoyed my stay and never wanted to leave. And the food was the best I tried almost everything on the extensive choices of food and every day it was a party in my mouth! One of my nurses from the fifth floor Sawyer came and visited me when I was there again on the fourth floor and that was above and beyond anything I've ever had happen to me in a hospital. So I give your hospital 10 stars because 5 isn't enough!!! Thank you to everyone that was working both times and I'll be back to the 5th floor soon! Jeanette Anderson (the party

My advice run in the opposite direction. Horrible care for my loved one in the behavioral health unit. I’m two hours away-several times asked for Dr call back never came it seems every time I call to speak with a nurse it was always their first night on or I’ve not worked with him before. Mental Health patients are human too discharge was a joke -they all but pushed him out the door - no follow up info NOTHING!! Said he was not having seizures but sent home with seizure medication- HORRIBLE HORRIBLE if I could give a negative 10 that would be my score AND YES I do plan on calling the patient advocate and don’t bother with the tin can apology this place has major issues and until they are addressed nothing will change
