Associates in Dermatology

This place has been bought by a large company and no longer has the compassionate and talented doctors that are mentioned in the positive reviews. Doctor Schwarz is almost robotic and makes little effort to be personable or compassionate. I was rushed through my appointment, and she did little to inquire about my personal case of hair loss. I feel like I have made no progress by coming here. I might as well have not come. The desk staff is wonderful though.

Dr. Xu's patience and professionalism was extraordinary. The procedure was as painless as it possibly could be, due to his amazing ability with the lidocaine needle. Wonderful!

Agree with most of the negative reviews for Dr Margaret Schwarz. She showed zero interest in meeting my needs for care. Even small attempts would go very far concerning the amount of negative feedback online. She was having a hard time believing me in our initial conversations, even after reviewing a previous Dr’s notes stating the same issue when I visited AD last year. Also, when I expressed a concern over costs from my previous lived experience with this office, her response was a flat “no” and “that’s just what things cost”, as if I wasn’t aware of how healthcare works. I’ve worked with doctors that could adjust care based on factors like that, and she should learn to do the same.. don’t be a source of unnecessary friction for patients just trying to seek care! I had a very disappointing experience at associates in dermatology - Watertown. During my visit they barely listened to my concerns and seemed rushed throughout the appointment. I did not feel heard or taken seriously. To make matters worse, I was prescribed a medication that never reached the pharmacy. I had to call the office three separate times to follow up, and despite repeated assurances, it almost took two weeks for the prescription to finally be sent and filled. This delay was extremely frustrating and unacceptable, especially when dealing with a medical issue that required timely treatment. Overall, the lack of communication, attentiveness, and follow-through made this a very poor experience. I would not recommend this location based on my visit.

About a year and a half ago I was seen by Margaret schwarz. I had a fine interaction with the front office staff and the medical assistant, but the minute this dermatologist walked in I felt like she thought I was disgusting or something. She refused to touch me, looked at me with a disgusted face, only looked at the medical assistant when speaking and fully disregarded everything I had to say/explain. She not only hovered over me, she took no samples or scrapings of my skin and diagnosed me with facial dandruff. She proceeded to prescribe me products that I was already using (she knew this cause I told her I was already using these products, but were ineffective-hence why I was trying to see her).
