Customer Reviews
This program was a scam. The program is understaffed, disorganized, and the professors do not provide support to students. Read the student manual carefully. A student can be “exited” from the program for failure to pass 1 assessment. There are no opportunities for remediation. Averett will collect tuition and simply “exit” students from the program, expecting them to reapply and start over. This was a very costly mistake. Choose a reputable college with years of experience and adequate staffing, which is NOT what the Averett ABSN program offers.
This program is designed to “fail” students. The program will use any number of excuses to kick students out of the program and prompt them to reapply in order to receive additional tuition. Staff do not provide proper instruction and the fail rate is very high. A very high portion of each cohort are “exited” aka “kicked out” and the staff will refuse any efforts for remediation or extra support. There is no sense of compassion towards students, and the professors are not prepared to teach the large number of admitted students. The school’s tuition is very high, but the level of commitment from the staff to each student is very low. TAKE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN CONSIDERING THIS PROGRAM. Reviews all over the internet mirror the same experience that my daughter had.
The Accelerated program is worth it. I just graduated in December and the experience was great overall. There are wonderful staff there! Sandra and Nicole are so kind and caring. There were some challenges with scheduling and Averett could definitely use more faculty. To end on a good note, I did pass my NCLEX! I felt well prepared from the course material and the live NCLEX review Averett provides at the end. Good luck future nurses!!!
Program is fast paced but well worth it. Not for the average student.
