Absolute worse ER visit I've ever had! Registration process was fine, everything past that point was terrible! I went in because I was having heart issues. Dizziness, shortness of breath, terrible cough that hasn't gone away in over three weeks. My CVT doctor and my pc both told me that if it gets bad before I can get in to see them to go to the ER. I was put in a room and waited at least 90 minutes to see a dr. No problem, he said that he had 2 emergencies. He asked what my symptoms were and he ordered blood work, CT with contrast and an EKG. As the blood work tests come back I am getting them on my phone. I'm trying to understand them , but I'm obviously not a dr. Some of the results were very abnormal. So I wait for the DR to come and discuss the results. Nurse says that they were think

I have been referred to Dr Helsel by my cardiologist. I have met with him twice. He is so caring and kind. He seems to genuinely care about his patients and is serious about improving their lives through thoracic surgery. I am glad he has accepted me as his patient. More to come after my upcoming surgery. His staff are very thorough and helpful also.

Dr Helsel is wonderful! He explains your test results to you and takes plenty of time to explain how your particular situation will be handled. Your anxiety is greatly reduced by the time your visit is over. You are not just a diagnosis. You are a person that he is going to treat with kindness and expertise. Both he and his staff are fantastic.

In surgery for heart, some nurses were kind of confused. I was having trouble with my hands going numb. The heart monitors showed I was okay, but my hands kept going numb in very bad pain it got the nurse’s nerves it took a little while to get my hands to get feeling back, but now we’ve got muscle rub to keep it under control. I would like to thank the nurses and doctors for all the help to keeping me comfortable until the next surgery. Thank you

It was okay. The Dr. was great. The ladies at the front desk were pleasant enough. The nurse was rude. I had been late. I had called and let them know that it was going to be 15-20 minutes and they said that was fine. When I got there I was 20 minutes late. I guess I was interfering into the nurses lunch break or something. She was very snotty and rude and said I was late. I told her I wasn't that late. She informed that I was it was twenty minutes. I left it and didn't speak to her again. If I return I am going to make sure I do not deal with her again.
