ER was fine, a little long wait. The issue I'm having is with their imaging partners, specifically the third part radiology partners for reading images. Nightmare to deal with and going between my insurance and then is awful. I have done all the work to get radiology partners to file a claim with my insurance and they still haven't 6 months later. My insurance gave them their fax number to make it even easier and they still haven't done it. Banner, if you are going to use third party vendors, make sure you use ones you share information with and aren't a scam. You are telling me that everyone else that provided emergency care can bill adequately and correctly with my insurance provided to banner, but this one company can't and says banner didn't give them any information? A visit to the Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center Emergency Room in Surprise, Arizona left us deeply disappointed and frankly, appalled. The lack of urgency and compassion displayed by the staff was truly shocking, making an already stressful situation even worse. From the moment we arrived, it became clear that the concept of "emergency" seemed lost on the staff. Despite the obvious need for immediate attention, we were left waiting in a crowded and noisy environment. The front desk representative who checked us in displayed a notable lack of empathy or professionalism. When we attempted to convey the seriousness of the situation, she responded with a dismissive chuckle, making us feel as though our concerns were trivial and unimportant. Long wait times. Up to an hour and a half before you get a room. Staff is cold and nonchalant. Poor attitudes from intake to nurses and doctors. I had severe abdominal pain. I was there for for 4 hours . The nurse decided to put my IV in the top of my forearm dumbest place I've ever seen a nurse put an IV and she blew my vein. The doctor offered no medicine for pain just gave me nauseous medication and ivy. When to dignity health received much better care. This er isn't worth your time and pain .

The nurse at CT scan who genuinely understood and took the opportunity to speak up for me I thank you truly. I don't remember your name but thank you for treating me like a person. August 4th 5ish p.m. . They treated me like a drug addict even though I was there 5 days post total disconnect replacement surgery. Trying to figure out what the lump in my neck was. Wouldn't allow me to take my regularly prescribed nerve blocker and muscle relaxer. Push opiates heavily on to people they gave a girl morphine for UTI infection. Just because I have dirty hands doesn't mean I'm a dirty person it's called being a mechanic not all of us can show up to your guys' establishment clean but you should treat us with kindness and care and respect 360 around. I got suddenly and violently ill during the night. Any other year I would have just stayed home and laid low but owing to the pandemic my advice nurse advised seeking care, and urgent care said the emergency room would be my best option. The nurse out front quickly got me checked in, I was promptly triaged and into a bed. The updates via text message kept me apprised throughout the day as to various tests that were scheduled. Ultimately and thankfully there was nothing seriously wrong that a few days of rest and eating soft foods wouldn't ease, and the covid test came back negative. Obviously not my first choice of how to spend a day but happy to be in good hands.
