If I could give a 0 I would. Do not bring your child here for a food challenge they will charge you $6 a minute out of your own pocket when you have Blue Cross Blue Shield for insurance. They preformed no interventions on my daughter minus a set of vital signs and auscultation of her lungs twice, we brought all the supplies. When receiving the bill Ashley and Avaloy A were rude and not helpful. I stated this was a financial burden to me and my family and told them I would settle the bill based on a flaw in their coding system where I’d be happy to pay for the 99 minutes my daughter was seen compared to the 120 minute code I was charged for, to be fair. I stated this over the phone and via two unanswered messages. I was told they could let their supervisor know and I would hear back, I did
Called many times to get estimate for a biopsy. Until finally the scheduling person wanted to schedule me and she didn’t want to wait so she had to email the financial department to get a phone call back. It’s not like I’m buying a pair of Nikes…. It’s a freaking biopsy…. I’m already $5000 in with insurance with all the appointments. People who have poor insurance or high deductibles need to know what’s they are going to pay. We can get treated and then be left with no roofs over our heads to come back to .
Just got transferred to the hardship dept. from billing and whatever woman picked up the phone said her name so fast I didn't catch it. I kindly asked again and she still spoke just as fast that I still couldn't understand her. She was quick to try and transfer me back to billing until I stopped her and said I had just been transferred to her. She reacted out loud in frustration and simply seemed unwilling to help. Not surprised with all these bad reviews. Seems to me like she needs to go find a new job she won't be miserable in when people are reaching out to her specifically for help. Horrible customer service.
clinic charged $1500 for an online 45 minutes visit. This is why this country is failing. I use to hold this hospital in such high esteem, but cannot be charging this per visit every month this kind of fee. We are not millionaires and simply cannot afford this. Will not be paying unless it goes to collections
Scam billing, outrageous. My 10 year old son had pain in his testicular area on a Sunday afternoon and after going to a walk-in clinic, where they did not have an ultra we were told to go to Children Hospital ER so we did since my son was in pain and it was a Sunday evening. Supposedly in-network. After an ultrasound they told us that it is a minor issue that boys his age get better in a couple of days. No ibuprofen or anything at all. Then after 2 weeks the bills for this one visit began to appear. We have the best United Health PPO plan from my spouse’s employer which is a big tech firm but apparently we are to pay 25% after deductible. I asked for itemized bill from both Physicians org of BCH and also their ER. It’s ridiculous but they charge duplicates on all CPT codes, the physicians
