I did not get to see my loved one, except from a distance, for months due to covid restrictions. When they finally sent him out to the hospital for a UTI, the hospital put him on hospice. They discovered gangrene in his toe. He died within a week. There was no gangrene prior to the lockdown. I feel like the absence of visitors created laziness among the employees resulting in poor care for our most valued and vulnerable veterans.

This is not a Country Club,. This is a state owned and run nursing care center and as they say you get what you pay for. HOWEVER, the Nursing Staff is Wonderful. My Mother was there at the end of her life and they took the best care that they had to give, considering the limited resources that they deal with and the number of patients that they have.

I would never put my love one there. My dad was there before he passed away. Just going to be brief here because I could really write a book about this terrible place.
