Camden Hospital

I had a wonderful experience in the ER but once I was taken to my room all that changed. The doctor was lovely however the nursing staff was so mean and horrible I left early because I thought my husband would be better than them.We treated them respectfully and even bought pizzas my first night and donuts in the morning. I left because nurse Amy was without a doubt a nurse "Ratchet" type. If I ever get that sick again I will drive all the way to Little Rock than to ever subject myself to that level of cruelty. They seriously need to change staff behavior!

Usually I’m treated with respect by the hospital staff members and I am greeted with a friendly smile, but this time I was disappointed. Three people including myself were on the waiting list in the admissions office. A nurse of my former PCP walked in, went to the cubicle behind, and she was in the radiology depart. before all 3 people who were patiently waiting to get checked in. She got “expedited” services. By the time I was called to get my X-ray done, she has already received services and left the bldg. This is a perfect example of favoritism and lack of professionalism. Do medical staff understand what it means to serve the community? Some staff members in the admissions dept. are also poorly trained. I gave birth their. Their was only one helpful good nurse that I met. She helped me threw contractions and was very helpful. Helped me give birth and she only worked that little bit of one time. The only nurse that tried to help be breast feed. One nurse came to draw my blood and attempted 3 different areas. She made my arm sore for 2 months i could barley move it after she messed it up. She didn’t take her time and he long hair was in her face.The overnight nurse was horrible to me the first 2 nights. Was rude and didn’t seem to care and always had an attitude at me. Not to mention a family member worked in the nursery and don’t like me and I felt like she didn’t treat me right like she should have at her job. We are from California and visited my brother here in Camden. My mother suffered a massive heart attack. She needed to be revived twice. We want to say Thank you to all the staff at this hospital that worked so hard to bring my mother back to us. And the exceptional staff that were so compassionate and made our family feel welcomed here in Camden. Highly recommend!!

Waited 15 mins for someone to come to the ER to check me in. The 2 girls were rude, the arm band was wrote on in black magic marker, they misspelled my last name 3 times and still spelled it wrong on my arm band. I walked to a room where I never once saw the Dr but a nurse comes in, hands me a prescription and says here you go. No explanation of anything. Walks away. I ask what it is and she says just take them it will make you stop throwing up. No nothing. Go to fill the prscrprescriand it's $36 for 6 pills. Will not back period. Been super for 2 days and dehydrated and they treat you like a dog. Nice. Learn some manners and respect!!!
