They have absolutely NO RESPECT for their patients, have no respect for visitors, and it feels like a prison coming here. They keep you here longer than necessary, and don't tell you anything. They are awful at communication. For the 'good' staff that work here, I sincerely hope you find a better workplace environment to grow. This is NOT the place you want to be associated with. This place is an absolute JOKE of a "Psychiatric Facility" that is absolutely awful in all of the worst ways. It was an okay patient experience. Pros: - big courtyard - good food - lot of board games in the day room - Activity groups like yoga and music - Floors get cleaned every day - Doctors and psychs are well educated Cons: - You have to ask like a million times for the staff to do anything. including getting BANDAGES FOR OPEN WOUNDS. Like I get you're understaffed but like. damn. - not super trans friendly. often separating men and women when very unnecessary (like to line up for meal time) lol - Therapy groups are repetitive and mostly about alcoholism which isn't relevant to everyone there - I told one of the med nurses I wanted my anxiety med because I wanted to harm myself and she told me to try "laying down."
