Dr. Sales is the absolute BEST at what he does. He gave me two new corneas in flawless surgeries to repair Fuchs. I recommend him whole-heartedly for ANY eye problem. Like I said, he's the BEST!

Dr. Sales saved my dad’s eye! My father was dealing with a severe, vision-threatening corneal ulcer that left us feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. I was seen in the ophthalmology department a few times due to an acute issue which wouldn’t resolve itself. I asked to meet with Dr Sales who was the most fantastic doctor. He took a long time listening to all my concerns and asked follow up questions along the way. He calmly explained the various issues I may be facing and ensured me that he would see me as many times as it took until we figured out the problem. He is the most caring and knowledgeable doctor I have ever encountered and we are so lucky to have him at UIHC.

I can't recommend Dr Sales highly enough. He's obviously brilliant, but still down to earth and relatable. I can't say having a superficial keratectomy (SK) is a fun recovery, but he was empathetic and the recovery is fast. The actual procedure itself was painless and quick. His staff was also wonderful. I also feel that his expertise saved me from potentially disastrous consequences if I had seen someone with less knowledge.
