November 23rd, 2016 is the day I decided to change my life for the better. I woke up that Thanksgiving Day morning and said "this is the last day for EVERYTHING! I walked into Albert Einstein Medical Center and told the nurse, "I need help! I am tired of drugs, the streets and everything that comes with it!" I had a bed in 8 hours at Rivers Bend. When I got there I was welcomed with opened arms and a warm welcome, as well as a warm bed, hot Thanksgiving Meal and a Counselor that would change my life for the better. I was only supposed to be there for 60 days, and ended up staying for 123 days. I'm proud to say that on November 23rd, 2024 marked my 10th year anniversary of being CLEAN AND SOBER! I owe it all to Allah! And to THE RIVERS BEND FAMILY!!! I will never forget where I came from
