We lost our dog smokey to old age and I took him here and had him cremated and couldn't afford to get his remains returned. They called me and told me they had extra funds and wanted to give me smokey remains. They were so kind in my time of grief. Thank you

I have had my cat Dahlia for nearly 14 years. Since I was 20, I'll be 34 in a week and a half or so. It's been her and I against the world that whole time which also means when something is wrong, she is the priority. I had called multiple vets, petplex in Buckeye lake, Medvet in new Albany, and assorted others- all quick to cut me off upon quick disclosure that I live paycheck to paycheck. Dahlia had been mouth breathing, had lost weight, and passed some blood clots in her urine. The panic was real- and a friend told me they had always come to this clinic. They were willing to work something out and I thought I'd give them a call. The night I called, about 8:45pm or so, they called back in less than an hour. My cat was 17 years old and has used cold spring his entire life. Well around a year and a half ago they lost my business due to me trying to schedule my cat an appointment because he was urinating outside of the litter box, they said they didn’t need an appointment and that he should just be euthanized!! I was appalled by this, well they earned back some trust because unfortunately my dog needed to be put down a couple months ago, and this was our only option. They were honestly great and I appreciated their kindness. Flash forward to Monday I called in because the previous day I had to take my 17 year old cat to the emergency vet, they said his kidneys were declining. Dr. Martin and her staff have cared for our two small dogs. Recently, our 18 year old chihuahua required end of life care due to his age and naturally deteriorating health. Dr. Martin and her team were so very respectful, caring, extremely compassionate and understanding of our situation. They provided education beyond what I’ve received and would expect to receive from other veterinary clinics. We will continue to use Cold Spring Animal Clinic and highly recommend them to anyone looking for an honest, ethical and caring vet for their pets.

This Vet Clinic would be great except for Dan. He answers the phones gives medical advice and is not even a veterinarian. He should not be diagnosing animals over the phone or for any other reason. He is why I have left them.
