We made an appointment for our new 9 week old kitten we had just adopted for checkup and vaccines. We made the appointment for a Saturday, which we found out is when there is a covering vet. I understand they are still a trained vet, but it should be indicated on the website that you are seeing someone who is just covering on Saturdays. Secondly, we were told that they do not admitted the feline leukemia vaccine as it is ‘too expensive’ to order a whole tray of vaccines. Mind you this is a recommended vaccine for kittens. Thirdly, after the appointment was over and we discussed getting our kitten spayed with the ‘covering vet’ we were told at the front desk that there are no procedures being performed this year. Therefore, there are not the means to accommodate a new kitten at this vet. Th

Went here the other day to get my cat vaccines. I asked them to clip her nails. The vet cut the quick on 2 different toes and my cat left bleeding. Then I noticed they charged me $40 for the nail cut. At least they refunded the services without question.

Got nice treatment for my dog Hunter. The staffs and the vet are very friendly and the bill was reasonable comparing to other clinics in Astoria!

They saw me the day after I called and gave me ointment for my cat's ear, that was great. But they then also cut her nails too short so she was bleeding! They charged me $40 for that! When I mentioned to them in a follow-up email that this did not seem reasonable, their response was that it happens and, "It may be worth considering having this service done at a groomer going forward."

Took my cat to this practice and me and she loved the vet and friendly staffs. Very professional and highly recommended!
