I would like to sincerely recognize Nurse Jeff, Dr. Wild, and Dr. Hall for the exceptional care they gave me. From the very beginning, they made me feel safe, comfortable, and truly cared for during both the preparation and the procedure. Everything was explained so clearly and patiently, which made a stressful situation much easier. The doctors were incredibly thorough and attentive, and I am deeply grateful for that. Nurse Jeff is truly a blessing! His kindness, compassion, and professionalism meant more to me than words can express. He is the best nurse I have ever had in my life! <3
Highly recommend this practice! I received the best care from everyone that assisted in my colonoscopy. Everyone on my care team came in to introduce themselves and inform me of their role. I felt very informed, comfortable, and cared for from the time I walked in. My husband received texted messages while he waited for me, which kept him informed and eased his mind. Amazing service and providers here!! 10/10 Highly recommend!
Duke GI patients are being scheduled so far out is because of a shortage of GI physicians! I have been a GI patient going on 4 years & I LOVE ALL OF MY DUKE PHYSICIANS AND CLINICS¡! Another reason why they are scheduling some of you for 10/11 months out is that it doesn't seem like their is an Emergency! Of y'all are in so much pain, go to ANY Duke ER & they will facilitate getting you in sooner! Also, other physicians can get you in sooner also, I have a procedure on August 4, 2025 which was originally set for December 4, 2025¡! I have moderate to severe Crohns Disease, that's most likely why I get my appointments sooner! Also, you can be seen by a PA, just ask for an appointment with a PA! Oh, Duke GI gastroenterologists have sub-specialties so, they ONLY see patients in that realm! SOR
Everyone at this clinic was so kind, professional and competent. They have the system down to a science so it all goes smoothly. Everyone on the team, from the anesthesiologist to the doctor etc, takes the time to look you in the eye and explain things. The nurses were so kind getting me several pre-warmed blankets as the procedure room is kept very cold. For such an invasive "no fun" procedure they really left me feeling cared for and respected.
The doctor is excellent (Dr. Phelan) but her assistant is bitter and not very friendly or welcoming, she came off as hostile and didn't show any compassion when I mentioned a challenge I was/still am going through. Very disappointing.
