East Bay Pediatrics, Berkeley Office

Our experience with East Bay Pediatrics has been absolutely wonderful! Despite some of the negative reviews, we found the staff to be incredibly welcoming and kind. We had our newborn just a few days ago and were able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Lauren Bouton the very next day. She was amazing—so caring, attentive, and thorough. She patiently walked us through every detail, answered all our questions, and made us feel completely supported. We’re truly confident our baby is in the best hands here, and we couldn’t be happier!

We love EBP! I’ve never been as fond of a doctor as I am of Dr. Ted Handler. Just a really lovely pediatrician with thoughtful, evidence-based advice and never judgemental. We’ve met 5 other pediatricians at the practice for urgent care visits and everyone has been competent and kind. In general scheduling and admin has been easy. It’s not the most techy practice so their patient portal is not the best looking but it’s perfectly fine.

We have had East Bay pediatrics since the day that our son was born and coming from a fellow physician their care has been absolutely amazing every single time. Highly recommend the practice to any family looking for a pediatrician!

Doctors are nice enough and thorough, but they have ZERO respect for appointment times. The last two visits with my < 1 year old I have waited 40-60 mins in the exam room before seeing a doctor. This most recent visit was a follow up for an ear infection, so the exam (after a 45 minute wait) was literally 1 minute long. If you can’t respect appointment times, you might as well be an urgent care.

We really like this place. Both my sons see Dr. Tracey Evans-Ramsey and we think she’s great. We’ve seen other doctors during drop in and have always been happy with our care. Reception has always been accommodating with last minute school forms (there is a fee) and last minute drop ins. The nurses are super with our kids. I really like the online medical records and bill pay service. There is a good after hours care option and on call nurse. We’ve also been to the office in Orinda and liked it too. All around a great pediatric practice.
