Elevate Physical Therapy

I sought out pelvic floor therapy with Katie following excision surgery for Stage 4 Endometriosis. After childbirth and two abdominal surgeries, my body felt foreign to me; I was struggling with digestion, bladder control, intimacy, and a total loss of core strength. I worked with Katie after my first pregnancy and through my second. I've seen a stark improvement between my two pregnancies. She's helped my awareness so that I'm not unnecessarily tensing muscles that I don't need to which previously led to severe back pain for me. I also have kept my diastasis at a manageable gap which I'm sure will make my recovery much better. Every mom should have the right to pelvic floor therapy.

My issues were resolved after 6 visits, but I could feel the difference after my *first* visit. -Have you had children? -Are you over the age of 40? -Do you leak 'just a little bit'? If you answered yes to ANY of these questions, you need to see Dr. Meibers. Right now. Do you work out at the gym, do pilates, yoga etc? You are NOT working your pelvic floor correctly. Even if you are doing kegel exercises, you are probably doing them wrong. Poise pads every day for the rest of your life does not have to be your destiny. Let's make it normal for women to take care of themselves. Just book the first appointment, ok? Then you will be like me, singing her praises to all your girlfriends and books clubs.

Dr. Katie is excellent at what she does. She has a deep rooted knowledge of how the muscles in the body are connected and so many strategies to help heal. She’s a true expert and kind and fun in her approach. The location is wonderful, too!

I can't say enough nice things about Katie!! I started seeing her for PT but honestly she is like my therapist. Conversations with her always put me at ease for any ailment I may be experiencing the day I see her. She always offers great feedback on strategies to make my body feel better and never ever shows judgement. It was the best decision I made to see her before my due date in September and I will continue to see her post partum as well.
