I can't give enough accolades for Florentine Gardens Nursing & Rehabilitation Home! My 87yr old mom was transferred here for physical rehab after a stay at the hospital in early '24. The people providing therapy, nursing, housekeeping, meal staff, activities, social services, administrative and even the gentleman that does maintenance have ALL made mom's world there a peaceful but engaging one! She gets care that enables her to interact with others more. When she's not feeling well, they check in a little extra with her and are able to lift her spirit. Every time I've popped in unannounced everything is clean (including mom 😉) and mom is comfortable. The staff there create opportunities for celebration very frequently. Reflecting about the beautiful and peaceful transition my daddy Paul experienced. I am so grateful for the compassionate care he received from the Florentine Gardens and Hospice of Cincinnati teams. I am extremely disappointed with the care provided at Florentine Gardens Nursing Home. My grandmother's well-being was neglected in ways that are completely unacceptable. She was not provided with buttons to call for help, which is a basic necessity for any nursing facility. Additionally, she was given items that she is not allowed to have, showing a blatant disregard for her health and safety. This lack of attentiveness and care is deeply concerning and should not happen in a place trusted to care for our loved ones. I cannot recommend this facility

My dad has been living at Florentine Gardens for over a year. This is the first time in 5 years that he has not been hospitalized! It gives me comfort knowing that he is getting the care he needs to stay well. We have had very few issues since his admission in August of 2023. When issues have arisen the staff has been responsive and resolved the problem. I visit dad several times a week and communicate with the staff regularly. I also take dad to all of his medical appointments. I make it my job to oversee his care. The facility is clean and everyone is truly caring. Love his nurses, aides, housekeepers and laundry “ladies”. I sleep well at night knowing that dad is safe and that his needs are being met.

My experience with Florentine Gardens Nursing Home has been deeply disappointing. My grandmother was left without a call button to ask for help when needed—an essential feature for her care and safety. To make matters worse, she was given items that she is not supposed to have, endangering her well-being. This lack of basic care and attention is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the facility's commitment to its residents. I cannot recommend this nursing home to anyone.
