definitely the most interesting BON I’ve dealt with in obtaining my license. AZ, NY, NJ, CO, WA are all pretty straightforward and easy to get ahold of via phone, so not sure what the issue is here. You’re on hold for hours and hours (you’re lucky if it’s 50 minutes). Better to deal with it in person if you have any questions that need further clarification that you’re unable to find online. A headache, but needed it for a contract and wanted to live here a bit for it; do what you will with this information and best of luck!

Arguably the hardest, most difficult and tedious process I have ever gone through to get my license activated from another state. I was put on hold for hours and told multiple different things from different people at the department and took well over a month to even get ahold of someone who could actually help. Dr. Owings was the most helpful person I dealt with through this process and made sure she personally assisted me every step of the way to transfer my credentials; if she did not assist me I would still be calling the board of nursing to this day. Thank you Ms. Deborah for your selflessness and continuous patience in getting my license transferred.

I would give ZERO stars to the telephone service. For months I was on hold for HOURS at a time just to get hung up on. When I finally did get through I couldn’t get any clarity on what was going on with my application and why it was taking so long. Finally, I drove to the physical office and that is the ONLY reason I’m giving 4 stars because I was able to receive the assistance I needed. I drove 3 hours. Mrs. Thelma at the desk was extremely nice and helpful. Mrs. December was an associate that came out to speak with me personally regarding my file and she was helpful and extremely knowledgeable as well. She stuck to her word and assisted me in a very timely manner. She was able to inform me on what was going on and she truly saved the day. A board rep also came out to address a situation

This is another example of how screwed up FL state is. I have called for 4 days, all day. They put you on hold. In about an hour on hold they hang up on you. This process continues all day for 4 days. No one calls you back if you leave message. You pay of a license and should at least get service. We need new leaders in Florida State.

The first time I called I was on hold for over 2 hours. The second time I called I was on hold for an hour. I did speak with somebody briefly the first time they told me that there was no one available and the Board of Nursing to speak with and to call back the following day I never did get through because as a provider I have a job and obviously cannot afford to be on hold forever on the telephone. I did try their website to get my questions answered because they tell you this while you're waiting on hold but when you go to the website they tell you you have to call the Florida Board of Nursing therefore the reason for my very poor review. Maybe they need more help to answer calls I don't know but something needs to give because when you need to call as a provider nobody has time to be on
