I just had my first visit with Fondren pet care and was so happy with the time and care they took with my beagle who is very sweet but terrified of the vet and becomes aggressive. After a traumatic experience at another vet, I decided to try Fondren. The vet and tech were very compassionate and patient with my dog. We were not rushed and they tried several different approaches to make him comfortable. Fondren is the only place I will be taking my dogs from now on.

In a long life of dogs and vets, I think Dr. Fondren is the best. Knowledgeable and caring and careful. And her staff is great, too. The doctor and her people make visits a pleasure, and I never worry about the level of care.

It has been almost a decade, and I will never forget my experience with Dr. Fondren, and not in a good way. Somehow, she still haunts me. Almost 10 years ago, as a nervous first-time puppy mom, I walked into her office, followed every single feeding instruction she gave me, and my puppy ended up sick with diarrhea, so naturally I took her back to Dr. Fondren. When I explained what was going on with Lola, she asked me to point to a poop chart of what my puppy’s stool looked like. When I pointed to her chart, her response was “pardon my language, but are you shitting me?” Instead of compassion, I got humiliated and felt like a failure. We have used Fondren Pet Care since we moved to Florida. Mary Fondren and her staff have been there from our puppies to their old age and there departures to Pet Heaven.

Dr Fondren and her staff are by far the best care you can get for your fur babies. She is incredibly knowledgeable and honest. She doesn’t recommend things be done just to charge you. She genuinely cares for every animal and owner brought in there. Highly recommend!
