Like many others, I was sold on the idea of a 'custom orthotic' to overcome my chronic tendonitis, which has done nothing to resolve my pain. More importantly, the time I had with Dr. Schwartz was completely minimal, over my 3 or so visits to this office I must not have seen Dr. Schwartz for more than 5 minutes. I would seriously advise anyone who is trying to overcome their injury to not consider this clinic.
Dr. Osterman is fantastic. My foot had been bothering me for months and I finally went in to get it checked. Turned out a callus was blood king a sweat gland which was what was causing so much pain (cute, I know). He fixed it in minutes, and has been so helpful in getting it all healed since. He also explained a bunch of stuff about feet that helped me Put. The office is clean, the staff is friendly, and Doc is just a wonderful human. Absolutely recommend these folks.
If you have a wort on your foot, don't go here! They will give you two options - one is very expensive ($200 and in Maryland!) and the other takes 6 weeks of unnecessary home care and requires you to come back and pay a copay every 2 weeks. Instead, go to your dermatologist and they will freeze it off and it's likely covered by insurance and no cost to you. This place should give the option to freeze off the wart or tell you that your dermatologist can do it, not take advantage of the information asymmetry and profit off you.
Saw Lee Firestone. The service provided was fine but he became uncomfortably moody in tone and physical demeanor. Continuing in the 'off' manner, he made an flippant comment about how I "probably don't wear heels". When I asked why he would say that, he said something to the effect of, 'call it a lucky guess'. It was weird and awkward. We had talked about heels (as shoes I own and wear) and inserts available. The bad mood continued regardless of topic.
I saw Dr. Osterman for three large corn/callus things on the bottom of my foot. He was patient listening to my foot and TKR history and concerns. I felt heard and he wasn't interventionist eg my wrt my painless hammertoes. He took care of my foot painlessly and quickly. I noticed the difference in my gait on the way to Metro! I definitely will come back for any foot concerns.
