Came for annual physical and labs for statin (cholesterol) maintenance medication with Dr. Kimberly Cai. Visit went well, labs were ok, in person discussion was to continue said medication and to be seen in a year. After visit summary, medication list, and lab result comments all agreed with this. Eventually noticed I was only prescribed 90 days of medication with zero refills when it should have clearly been a years worth based off of the in person discussion and mychart notes for a class of medication that is routinely checked yearly. Sent a mychart message explaining the situation hoping to fix what was a simple mistake and the mistake was repeated again. Another prescription for only 90 days. Patients put their health, time, and money into this hospital, yet they treat you like you don’t matter. Completely unprofessional and careless. If they can’t even do the basics right, why charge so much? I’ve visited Hackensack Meridian Medical Group twice with my wife, and both times we experienced significant delays. Despite having a scheduled appointment, we had to wait about 15 minutes at the front desk after checked in and before seeing the doctor. After that, we were taken inside only to wait another 15–30 minutes before being seen the actual doctor. I work in Far Rockaway and took a half day off specifically to make this visit, hoping to manage my time efficiently as I had another appointment afterward. Previously I had issue for the commutation... But, it is really nice now. I think it might be somehow the difficulty when this clinic moved to a new place and set up everything. I like staff and Dr. Zorba. They are nice and well-reactive to patients. I could do phone call without not long time. Dr. Zorba is very kind and ask many things for my health!
