Hillcrest Veterinary Hospital

A year ago we brought our two Beagle Freedom Project rescues to Hillcrest for their veterinary care. Dr. Anderson is a really great veterinarian. He was excellent in every possible way. But over the past year we've really been turned off by the office manager/receptionist. Her name begins with an H. She completely embodies the "Karen" ethos. She lacks compassion and has zero people skills. We have already spent top dollar here caring for our beagle boys. Our most recent interaction with them put us over the edge and now we are taking them to another vet—just because of the front of house staff. Bringing our boys to the vet should not be a traumatic experience for us. Dr. Anderson should pay closer attention to the quality of his staff. He's losing a high-paying customer because of it.

I use minimal vet care for my 12-year-old rescue mutt, so I was expecting a little bit of polite scolding when I had to take him in for a rash that I ignored for quite a while. But they were totally professional and courteous and told me my options without any aggressive up-selling. I really appreciated it.

Dr. Anderson is an incredible veterinarian - professional and highly skilled while also down to earth and genuinely caring (for animals and their owners). I have been a client since 2019, when I had to go through the euthanasia of my old dog. Hillcrest staff went above and beyond to make me and my dog feel comfortable/at peace during one of the most difficult (but necessary) experiences of my life. For that I am eternally grateful. Highly approved and Peter-recommended!

My dog Freya had a dental done today. She is very sensitive to sedation medications and I was a little nervous about her procedure today. But they took such good care of her. She is recovering from her anesthesia with ZERO problems. She is home resting now. I'm so grateful for the staff that took care of her today. They treat EVERY patient as if it's their own baby.

All I can say is SHAME ON YOU DR ANDERSON, YOUR EMPLOYEE’S, AND YOUR BUSINESS AS A WHOLE!!! This place gets zero stars, but it won't let me do that so I'm forced to put one. This is why. Due to the high likes of this Vet, we settled on them to schedule an appointment for our cat Winston. We are somewhat still settling in to our community and needed to find a new vet for our cat. Our appointment was for 1/24 and we accidentally put 1/25 in our calendar. Human error. When scheduling our appointment we were told that an $80 deposit was required to get him on the books. This is fine, but we were NEVER told that they would keep the entire $80 if we missed the appointment! I can understand a cancellation fee of some sort for this happening, but seriously???!
