Most of the time I'm satisfied with their service at this lab, I've had good service and they've been friendly and accommodating. Its location is convenient for me, and is always clean and efficient. Recently I made an appointment online (very convenient and easy) for blood work the next day. I thought this is the best way to get in and out in a timely manner. When I arrived there were about 5 names ahead of mine. When the time came for my scheduled appt., they called 3 names before mine. It ended up making my appt almost 15 minutes after my scheduled time. When I mentioned it to my technician she said they most likely had appointments at the same time. Four appts at the same time? I was unaware there's a new appointment system as I received no notification like many others have posted. When I checked in the first slot available was 9:15 am. It was 7:30 am with two people in the waiting room. I asked an employee, Danyale Royals, about it thinking maybe there was a glitch or something and she responded with a very rude tone in her voice and she never explained the new process or even indicated there was one! A nice man in the waiting room explained it to me. She had an opportunity to kindly explain and she chose to be rude instead. Rude employees that so easily disrespect others like she did do not need to be working in a service-oriented business. The worst experience ever. The new appointment system is ridiculous. At 6 am there are eight people there all walk ins. The staff didn't call anyone back till almost 6:30 when the first appointment person showed up. The staff take advantage of the new appointment system to wait on as few customers (and we are customers/ this is a business). When there were no appointments they still waited to call anyone. Then the worker comes out and calls out like 15 names of people with later appointments even though everyone there already said no new people came in . Again time wasting enjoying the power to make all these people wait. When I finally got to a room the employee (Danyale Royals) felt free to tell me I shouldn't complain they are just doing their jobs. Quote I get 15 minutes per draw. That
Highly recommend to make an appt or you may be waiting a fairly long time, depending on how busy it is. Make an appt on MySparrow portal or the sparrow.org website. Results from lab draws generally come back within 24hrs. The phlebotomy team seems to be rather skilled. Never had a bad experience there.
Very polite. I got in quickly. They were clean and efficient. I go here every time I need labs done
