Recently had surgery and stay at hospital for. An infection . 1)the room have not been clean in my 5 days stay 2) I emptied my own drainage. When done by a nurse ( maybe once ) fluid was transferred to a measuring plastic cup and left unwashed with blood stains over the sink . 3) two painful days with and Iv outside vein causing an excruciating pain when antibiotics were administered . After two days and with help of one helpful nurse another. iv was place on my wrist but popped out pouring blood everywhere 4) three nurses and one doctors were My angels on earth . The rest of nurses never disconnect IV on time - never less than 30 minutes later . At one point i call nurse I was told they were busy to disconnect my self . 5) a nurse who evidently didn’t know how to use a port but administer

I contracted a staph infection during a recent surgery at Holy Cross. To say that neither the Hospital nor the Infectious Disease office were the least bit concerned would be the understatement of the year. The ID and Hospital were slow to contact me and even when they did showed callous disregard for my concerns. Loved my surgeon but would never have any medical procedures done by Holy Cross in the future. Their only saving grace (and why they got a 2 instead of one star) was a lovely lady at ID who answered the phone Karen. She showed she cared and went the extra mile to try to help. Unfortunately, I called their “guest relations” office several times throughout this journey and to say they were of no help would be an understatement. They took my complaint and did nothing to try to help

Waited a month and 1/2 for an appointment. Then finally saw Dr. Gorensek who had a horrible bedside manner!!! Asked me why I was there twice. She did not finish my notes. I was unable to get my MRI and has still not finished my notes so I can’t get my MRI approved!!!! Horrible experience!!!!
