Inova Women's Hospital Surgery Center

I wanted to leave this review while the experience was still fresh in my mind. The staff in the women’s surgery center (women’s and children’s) were truly wonderful — especially the nurses and techs. From before surgery through recovery, the entire team was attentive, gentle, and incredibly kind. Waking up vulnerable and in pain and being met by such compassionate women made a huge difference. I wish I could remember all their names so I could thank them properly, but I was pretty out of it. Please know how much your care and kindness were appreciated. Thank you.

Never seen before like this hospital, the care that they give, it is fenominal. The staffing are very professional, cleaning all the time. You feel yourself among your family. If the patient comes by himself, dont worry to leave him there, they will take care of him even better than his family. If you do a movment on the bed and the sensor ring the bell, the phone will ring immediately asking if everything is ok, and someone comes in to check in less than 15 seconds. I neever seen like this service in USA before. This hospital should be a model for others to do the same. I am very thankful for the nursing staff, keeping smiling is not easy all the day. Front desk staff member Miss Michel is incredibly slow and lacks knowledge, constantly needing help from other employees. She is also very rude. When I was eight months pregnant and had an emergency, I should not have been forced to wait at the front desk for 20 minutes because she didn’t know what she was doing. Additionally, she should treat patients with kindness and professionalism.

This is the best hospital I’ve ever been to. The service and bedside manner from the front desk to the nurses is exceptional. The building is new and clean. I highly recommend for anyone who needs a women’s hospital for surgery or otherwise!

There is an absolute lack of any standard of care right now throughout INOVA. It is terrifying and disgusting leaving you scared about the care in one of the wealthiest health systems in this state. My family member stayed on this unit for 2 days before being moved could not determine any diagnosis while my family member continued to rapidly deteriorate. There was no empathy or urgency from any of the staff. IV’s were left to float in her arms not attached to any veins. Her arms swelled up so large from this and nothing was done until a family member asked them to be removed. Medications were not prescribed by doctors on the schedule they created, specially antibiotics for infection, unless family members continually called the nurses and doctor.
