My mother went to rehab here twice in the last 6 months. She spent most of July here and we were both pleased with the staff and the way mom recovered. When my mom needed to return at the beginning of October we had different luck. While the nurses and physical therapy people were great there was one person who wasn't. The head nurse CYNTHIA on floor 2 was less than helpful and extremely rude. Now mom was sick and started to have issues and when I said "I think she should go to the hospital" CYNTHIA responded with "Why? What do you think we're not doing? She's fine this is just how your mom is going to act now." I let it slide because I'm not in the medical industry and thought I was speaking with a (rude) professional. This was on a Monday and 2 days later on Wednesday my mom was rushed t
This place has been HELL! We are trying to get mom out, and can not, yes, get her out! Staff started out nice, now are nothing but rude. When you do get someone to answer a phone, they just tell you they will call with updates, within 24 hours. Then you talk to 2 different people and get 2 different answers. I would not even recommend you going here with a dead horse! Worst facility ever dealt with and we chose this from there great reviews. Oh, and if there is a issue where your loved one is in diapers, expect them to sit in them for hours before getting changed. Just terrible.
My sister was there and treated like crap by some male nurses. Other nurses were very kind. I got her out of there took her to the hospital and she passed away two weeks later. She would ask to be put back in bed and she was ignored for Several hours. When she would put her light on she would wait and wait then when they came they would say What is it now! If you cant have compassion for people who are sick then you are in the wrong profession!
CNA's are overworked and under appreciated. Lobby front desk staff is kind. Not sure what the policy is for greeting, but there was one receptionist who stands and watches you sign in every time you go to the keyboard. i have observed her rushing back to be behind the desk to stand there while I and others sign in. You think you would get used to it. But, After a while it just gets creepy. If you alone are visiting a family member and they are eating breakfast, lunch or dinner you cannot join them in the dinning area at a table (not to eat, but to chat)because there is "no space". Even though there are empty chairs and tables. Exceptions can't be made? I hardly saw many family members coming to visit residents really. I doubt my father and his friends at the table would have cared if I jo
Very disappointed with the care my loved one received while being at Iroquois. Administration does not answer the phone they do not return phone calls, family was not told any policies or procedures. Three full outfits and two nightgowns turned up missing, I emailed the receipt to the social worker and have yet to hear back it has been almost three weeks. Would not recommend this facility to anyone.
