My son was transported to Javon Bea ER by ambulance for a head, neck, and back injury sustained at wrestling practice. When I arrived at the hospital, I couldn't have been more than 5 minutes after he arrived. The ER receptionist could not find him, as if he wasn't there at all. She poked around on the computer for several minutes and then told me to sit in the waiting room until he's done being triaged. They brought him out to me in the waiting room, gave a brief "we'll be with him as soon as possible" and then promptly left. At this time, the waiting room wasn't that full, maybe a half dozen other people. About an hour and a half later, the nurse came out and asked me to come back because they need parental authorization to treat my son. I go back to a triage room, I'm told to wait ther
So my mother in-law came in to the ER because she had fell at home. Upon arriving, there was a wait time. There was a tech by the name of Bobbi Shante (she works night shift) I hope I spelled it correctly she took my mother to the restroom got her a fresh undergarment. My mother in-law couldn’t stop talking about her please tell her thank u again she was wonderful. I also want to give a huge shout out to the whole ER team the nurses & doctors & techs and everyone else that were involved with my mother‘s care. They did a great job. Thank everyone
Javon Bea Hospital states its mission is to provide “exceptional health care services with a passion for making lives better,” guided by values that include patients coming first, excellence in care, and treating people like family. So what happened, and how did leadership let their mission fail? Our experience tonight directly contradicted those commitments. We brought my husband to the emergency department after he was referred from urgent care for chest pain. Keep in mind urgent care wanted him to go in an ambulance. We arrived around 6:00 PM. An EKG and blood work were completed, after which he was sent to the waiting room with no communication regarding next steps or anticipated wait time. After waiting approximately an hour and a half, he was briefly taken back for a five-minute X-
They deserve 0 stars. I just received a bill for my son's birth over 2 years ago that I had already paid and insurance had helped cover. When I asked them why it took 2 years to bill me they just said "oh it just takes that long, it happens all the time". I was then told that I was only charged for the provider and not the facility. My bill clearly indicates items for the room as well as lab work and doctors. I was billed $27,000 and I guess that isn't enough for them. I already paid my bills. I will be pursuing legal action Update: I also forgot to mention the condition of their ER Saturday. My father was told by his primary to report to the ER immediately for a liver abscess that was leaking onto his organs. Every seat was full. Several kids and some adults were puking. Some people cam
The place you go to die. Went to mercy’s ER and when I went in there was barely anyone there. I thought great maybe the waits not going to be long. The triage nurse who took my vitals was super rude for no reason, accompanied by a Cna who thought she was in charge. She preceded to “train” a guy to start an iv on me. Which is funny bc by law cnas cannot start IVs. I sat in the waiting room in agony for almost 10 hours. Which was shocking bc it was not busy there. I went up to the front counter multiple times only to be met with some of the most non compassionate people I’ve ever met. Even crying in pain they could care less. My labs showed I was extremely dehydrated along with other issues and I was left with nothing to drink for 10 hours. I had to walk throughout the hospital to find somet
