He removed my diseased bladder and created me a new pouch that I will be able to use a catheter to drain. This is a surgery that he has pioneered. I have been bedridden for almost 3 years and the pain was unbearable. Dr. Myers gave me my life back. He is a genius. I am honored to have been given a “Myers Special.” He is the only Doctor who does this in the state (to my knowledge) and is considered hands down the best in the entire Intermountain west. He travels to teach urologists this quality of life changing surgery. He is gentle and his explanations are thorough. He is very sympathetic to the suffering his patients have been through. I have been told that most women, myself included, wait about 3 years too long to have it done. He is a perfect doctor.

As a referring physician to Dr Myers I have always been treated with respect, never condescending, which makes me feel comfortable to refer patients to him And all of my patients are so grateful for the excellent care he provides. I’ve been to meetings where he has given his talks on trauma and reconstruction, his sincere, humble delivery is so different than most presenters. And he gave a super tribute to his mentor, Dr McAninch, who I met in my military experience. They are two men of the same mold Highly recommend Dr Myers for any complex issues

Dr Myers saved my Father’s life after he had radiation treatment for prostate cancer. He became septic due to severe complications from the radiation. Dr Myers performed a complicated urostomy along with GI and Osteo surgeons for fistula and pelvic bone removal due to osteomyelitis . He underwent a complicated 10 hour surgery with Dr Myers. Dr Myers gave our family hope when no Surgeon could and my Father is now able to enjoy his retirement and meet his grandchildren. I am forever grateful for his surgical expertise. Overall, I'm very pleased with Dr Myers treatment. Where I'm dissatisfied is with some of the residents and rounding in the hospital. Several came in and didn't identify themselves and there was one in particular that seemed to disregard my questions and concern, and was very rushed. Less than 24 hours after surgery, I was in a good amount of pain and they wanted to brush it off as being "you're supposed to hurt". I had complications and was reamitted after being discharged and the abruptness continued. Not once did Dr Myers participate in rounds and it was frustrating. Who is to say my complications may have been less severe had my concerns been addressed and taken seriously. I wish there was a way to teach sympathy and empathy to the residents.
