I have been seeing this provider since 2020 for management of Hashimoto’s disease. Over the years, I have not experienced meaningful improvement in my symptoms. Appointments consistently involved extremely long wait times — often around 4 hours before being seen. This happened repeatedly and was especially difficult while dealing with chronic fatigue and flare-ups. My main concern is that the focus of care seemed limited strictly to lab numbers related to hypothyroidism. While thyroid levels were monitored, there was little to no attention given to the broader symptoms of Hashimoto’s as an autoimmune condition — including fatigue, inflammation, flare-ups, and overall quality-of-life impact. Despite clearly explaining how significantly my symptoms affect my daily functioning, I did not f
One of the worst managed doctor’s office in Elmhurst. Avoid this office if you prefer to not wait for a few hours. Doctor is okay, not the best though, but appointments are still not met at the time of the appointments. Expect to wait 2-3 hours to be seen even with an appointment, which is unacceptable. There isn’t much of a difference from going to a hospital and this office. If I wanted to go to a hospital, why would I even bother to come here? The front desk is not helpful at all. They seem like they spend most of their time talking to each other or on their phones than taking the initiative to help patients. One front desk staff member in particular, who looked like she had been working there for several years now, was making personal phone calls during business hours. This office is p
They changed the office space. Looks decent. The wait to see Dr. Xu still isnt great. They always book too many patients and some people that seem like they dont have appointments cut the line to see Dr. Xu. They have a serious problem with managing their place. The wait is like 2 hours long. No one has that much time for this. Changing my pcp from now on. Shouldve done it from the start. Not sure why the good reviews say good things about this office because they are too slow and not mindful of our time. Wouldn’t recommend having to come here to see a doctor if you dont have the time nor the patience to wait two hours to see her.
If you value your time and your sanity, do yourself a favor and avoid this office. Despite moving to a larger space, absolutely nothing has improved. Here are the reasons why this office is not the best to go to see a doctor: 1. You’ll be lucky if you’re seen anywhere close to your appointment time. Even with the new location, the wait times are insanely long. You should expect to spend hours in the waiting room. If you have something to do outside of this office for that day, forget it. Your day is gone. 2. The office moved to a bigger space, but the inefficiency is still the same. The staff loves to take their time on everything and the patient flow is just as disorganized as before. Bigger space, but still a total lack of attention to detail or improvement in patient experience. It’s
New update from my previous review: The office just got upgraded. So right now it’s much bigger than before. But the waiting time is still crazy. I suggest people hang around at the Queens Library. It’s just 2 min walk away from the doctor office. Previous review: Make sure you arrive at least 1h before your appointment. Cause you need to sign your name and then wait with other patients. Office area is very small and limited. Most people sign their name and wait at cafe nearby. They’ll call you once it’s your turn. It’s impossible that you get to see Dr.Xu at your appointment time cause they always overbooked. Even though they don’t, each patient is different. It’s hard to manage the average time. If you have a tight schedule and prefer get to see the doctor at exact time of your appointm
