Kentlands Veterinary Hospital

This review is long overdue! We’ve been going to Kentland Vet since our furbaby was just a baby. Our 5-star rating is especially for the many years of wonderful care we received from Dr. Handel. It has been quite an adjustment not having him around anymore. He always gave us more information than we even thought to ask for, which helped with prevention and taught us how to better care for our pets. When our rescue (now a permanent part of the family) had ringworm and we thought it was hopeless, Dr. Handel reassured us and made sure everything was going to be okay. Thanks to his care, our babies are now happy and healthy at 1 and 4 years old. We always felt safe knowing he was looking after them. Even with Dr. Handel now retired, I truly hope his care for animals continues to live on throu

I frantically contacted Kentlands Veterinary Hospital when I needed urgent help with my dog. It was near closing and my own vet practice wouldn't stay late to see my dog. I called an emergency vet and they said there was an 8 hour wait. I called Kentlands vet and said I wasn't a client, but I desperately needed help. The doctor offered to stay late to see my dog even though I wasn't a client. She is clearly passionate about animals, placing their needs above her own. She was quickly able to diagnose the problem and literally saved me hours of waiting and hundreds of dollars at the emergency vet. I was so grateful for the excellent care and even more for the extreme kindness in our time of need. Can't say enough wonderful things about this place!

Been coming here for about 4 years now. Great doctors and staff! Always friendly and know your pets as soon as you walk in. I was sad to see Dr. Handel go he was the best! But we are now seeing Dr. Stotz and have seen Dr. Weyhing. Both have been great! What I love is that none of our experiences have been pressured. They offer options and even recommendations to places that are less expensive, they just want your pet to be healthy and happy. Even though it’s a drive it’s worth it to make sure my kids are good!

They did an amazing job taking care of our sweet cat. Dr Handel, Dr Reitz, and all the staff at the vet hospital were professional, very empathetic, kind, and very knowledgeable. They know their stuff and we trusted them with our cat 100%. Our cat ended up passing away and they did a beautiful job with the paw print engraved memorial plaque for our cat. They gave our cat excellent care. I recommend them 100% and they are our go-to hospital for our future pet. They also upgraded their lobby area and it’s so pretty and modern. Definitely go see them! I hope this vet hospital stays for many years to come. Thank you so much for all you do!

This was my very first visit to a vet, and it was truly the best experience I could have hoped for. As a first-time dog owner, I was a little nervous, but the staff and veterinarian were incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. Benji was comfortable and calm the whole time. Highly recommend!
