Kootenai Heart Clinics – Cardiothoracic Surgery

My name is Deborah and my dad, Russell recently found out that he has lung cancer. He was referred to Dr. Burnetts office. There was an issue with a referral to get approval from the VA. His appointment was scheduled for Wednesday. Tiffany, Carey, Lisa and Michaelene all worked diligently to help get the approval from the VA. It was down to the wire and they DID IT!!! My dad and I are so grateful for their help. He had his appointment with Dr. Burnett on that Wednesday. Dr. Burnett explained the importance of the surgery and answered our questions. As always the care my husband recieved was excellent. The staff are so professional at the same time caring and personable. They make sure we are comfortable. Answer all questions. We appreciate the care from the doctors and nurses. ♥️

The staff was very attentive and professional. Saralena was assigned to me and she was fabulous. She was polite, kind, knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions. I was treated with respect by all who tended me before, during, and after my procedure. Thank you Kootenai Health for providing not only great care but expedient response time throughout my medical care needs since moving to Coeur d'Alene. God bless you all.

The staff from initial check in to checking out were all stellar. Their care, compassion, cooperation and attitudes exhibited such kindness and joy especially Katy and Chad who got to do extra duty due to a vein complication. I was very well cared for. Praising God for providing such great care for me.

The wait to actually wasn't that long. I was greeted with smiles and a warm welcome. The nurse, Crystal, attending me has a great personality for the job she does. She explained things well and put me at ease. Everyone who attended to me, in the surgery room were great. I remember coming to while I was being stitched up and complaining because it hurt so much. Anesthesiologist stepped in to help me out so I wouldn't feel being stitched up. So thankful! Dr. Thurber explained things well and I knew I was in good hands. So thankful that from the time I registered all the way to going home everyone that was there to do their job was gracious and friendly.
