Lakeside One Professional Center

I showed up at Lakeside ER with severe abdominal discomfort, and we arrived shortly after 5 p.m. What time did I finally get treatment? 7:45 p.m... I sat in the waiting room in SEVERE pain for almost 3 hours. Now, I understand that more emergent cases were before me, and I'm not the only one that needed medical care, BUT at the same time, I'm writhing in pain in a waiting room for hours. So unless you're dying or almost dead, I suggest you go elsewhere for your emergency room visit. Also, the staff didn't seem to give a damn. They probably assumed I was there to get drugs or something. Well, I wasn't. They did a CT scan and it took them another 2 hours to give us the results. Never again, Lakeside. Never. Again.

My visit with the staff was great, but that's not what I'm commenting on here. When I came in for an appointment back in July, I was told that if I paid my copay right away that I would receive a 10% discount, so I paid right away. Fast forward to 1.5 months later and I get another bill saying my insurance didn't cover as much and that I owe another $485. Now, I want my 10% discount on that amount too cause I could have paid it all the first time and I keep getting the run around. I have been sent to the Billing Office and they are obviously not from this county as trying to understand them is difficult at best. Any ways, they tell me they can't authorize a discount and I have to go through the people who gave it to me in the first place (Registration). When I call Registration they forwa

I would give this hospital a zero if I could. Horrible staff, dismissive doctors, takes forever to receive help even when admitted. NEVER go to lakeside hospital if avoidable.
