I have been suffering with Glaucoma for several years and developed cataracts in both eyes at the same time. I don’t know how many times I’ve gone to different doctors for treatment with the same outcome, the inability to control the high pressures in my eyes! Until finally I was referred to Dr Larissa Camejo. Let me tell you, that was a God send!!!! My first visit with her was on 9/30/2025. From the moment I stepped into her office I felt very comfortable after checking in with her caring staff! When a technician called me in to an examining room she politely introduced herself and basically asked what problems I’m having with my eyes and type of meds I was taking etc, checked my vision, and when it came to checking my pressures she told me they were very high, like 42/37 high!!! Dr Camejo successfully inserted several stints and a relatively new I stint that delivers 24 hour medication to both eyes to control & lower my eye pressure (glaucoma). What a find.... my glaucoma odyssey started about 10 years ago when I discovered by myself I had a loss of vision during one my every 6 month aviation medicals. My ophthalmologist never saw it. I then started with the top glaucoma doctors at Columbia NY and down here at Bascom-Palmer. For 9 years I was taking drops that I was clearly allegeric to that instead of recognizing it, I was told to see a retina doctor who thought I had dry eyes.... finally thru a friend I found Dr. Camejo this summer... she is attentive, warm, giving you as much time as you need and I find very informed of the latest in Glaucoma research. I highly, highly recommend her.

If you have glaucoma, Larissa Camejo is who you want treating it. She is smart, professional and patient. And she has the rare gift of explaining complicated or confusing treatments in a straightforward easy-to-understand way. My only regret is that I didn't know about her 7 years ago when I started having a pressure problem. She will continue to monitor it, but after a minor surgical procedure the pressure in both eyes is normal and I'm no longer taking any glaucoma drops. Freedom!

Dr. Camejo. saved my husband’s eyesight. We went to many many doctors in the last 20 years and nobody could help my husband. My husband was in fourth stage glaucoma when he came to talk to Dr. Camejo, she stopped the progression and operated on both eyes. He is now seeing good and he has a good prognosis.
