Customer Reviews
Great experience 89% of the time. My mom has requested Life Care 2 times after my initial choice to have her Rehab. The Nurses Techs, Therapist, Reception, even had a report to Kitchen staff All were Awesome. I did have an issue with wound care, that was of Great Concern. Over All it was cool, not having a comparison to any other facility. They are helpful and encourage the patients. It needs an overhaul with baseboard cleanings. But Overall it’s been A very pleasant experience. Mom is comfortable with her care. If u can’t be there during the day when Doctors make their rounds be sure to check with the On floor Nurse, or Judi the social worker.
I only get there to visit the times a year. Generally seems clean. Staff interactions with residents are caring, genuine, and nuturing. People at the front desk for sign in are usually outgoing and pleasant. I really like it that they have newspapers at the front door so I have something to read if the nurse is helping the patient; since my visits are from out of town, it's great to see an edition of The St Louis American. This visit was my first time noticing the computer check in. I think that is great for specific and accurate recording, except I observed visitors have less interaction with the staff person at the front desk now. I think lobby interaction is important in maintaining the center's relationship with the family of your residents. Areas I see for improvement: Building m
My mom has been there twice. Thinking of sending her, for this 3rd time. The CNA’s Amazing!!!!!! They love my MOMA and i loved them too. I hope some of these ones are still there. The nurses were very awesome as well. But there were 2 that made it a headache. But 1 is gone. My biggest issue were her heals, one with that last nurse tried but nothing. The wound nurse did a lot better. I give them 4.5 stars. Social workers awesome. Thnx Judi. Receptionist, cooks were all super cool. Thnx yall. May see u soon
Update: Sometimes initial impressions just can’t last very long. The greatest goal of an institution is to be consistent. In a health care setting, especially one that is supposed to be skilled nursing care for the vulnerable elderly and/or disabled the consistency is a matter of life and death. Infectious disease control matters. Training in ensuring there is no cross contamination is essential. As I initial posted “I am not sure”, well I am sure now. There are some shinning star staffers, like Michelle I previously raved about, but those professional, like Michelle, cannot work everyday and every shift. The weekends and holiday days at Life Care have proven to be particularly sketchy with over burden staffers being required to carry impossible patient loads. But this is not the biggest
My grandfather recently had a stay here after breaking his hip. Immediately, I noticed the facility was dirty, smelled bad and had signs of negligence all around. My grandfather was left sitting in bed, with the wrong meal, no bedside care, and no physical therapy on multiple occasions. The staff was mostly incompetent and did not seem to care at all about the well being of patients. The food is not only awful, but they don’t offer any accommodation for special diets (including diabetes).Thankfully, my grandfather is able enough to recognize this abysmal care and advocate for himself but I could 100% see their neglect leading to someone’s death. We were given a full run around and host of excuses any time we wanted to speak to his case worker (Judy). She never returned phone calls and with
