Absolutely a great experience with DrXu and her staff, When i met Dr Xu i knew immediatly that i made the right choice . Her office is beautiful and her staff is highly professional, i had cataract surgery done in both eyes completed in a little over a month , i couldnt be happier with the choice of lens and how well i can see. Surgeries were quick and smooth, she will call uou herself to check up on you, her staff gives accurate instructions before and after surgery .Dr Xu is not only a great doctor but she is an equally exceptional person , HIghly Recommend! I am glad Dr. Xu is on SI as the island has very few glaucoma specialists (maybe 3?). I need to take my mom frequently so this helps. The office was clean and modern, and her staff was friendly on my first visit today. My appointment lasted about 15 mins. However in my case, my concerns were answered but it felt a bit like a bother, but maybe my visit was an anomaly. She seemed friendly with all else and her elderly patients. I also had a concern about extreme eye itchiness and irritation that's lasted a month and I don't recall a remedy. Maybe I missed it

I am extremely happy to have had Dr Xu as my opthalmic surgeon. Besides the technical brilliance she brings to her practice, her caring and soothing manner would alleviate apprehension to anyone undergoing opthalmic surgery. I would recommend Dr Xu summa cum laude. Secondly, a shout out to her staff. Pleasantness and professionalism sometimes do not go hand in hand but that is not the case here. Lastly, the Hudson ambulatory surgery where my cataracts were removed would not be able to be differentiated from a regular hospital OR. The surgery staff showed the same pleasantness and professionalism as her office staff. To summarize, if asked to grade her practice on a 5 star system, they would have to add another star. Phil M
