Allie and Brooke are the dream homebirth team. They are so knowledgeable, full of so much wisdom and valuable insight. They are calm and brought peace into my homebirth experience. My birth was challenging, but Allie and Brooke kept giving me different things to try. They reassured my doubts, and I felt completely safe with their care for both me and my baby. So thankful for them!

To work with Allie is to feel supported & loved. From my very first contact with her, which was a phone interview, I had never felt more safe & confident in a provider. This sense continued through all of my prenatal visits where Allie listened to all of my concerns, never once dismissing them, and always providing a well thought out, caring response. Allie is very informed & knowledgeable and strives to educate her families so they may make the best decision for themselves. She never once was pushy one way or the other in our decisions regarding any tests, interventions, etc. Appointments were never rushed and I always left learning something new. I met Ally years ago when she was a doula and I instantly felt drawn to her presence. Coming from the background as a maternal/child health nurse, I needed a midwife who was well educated in the birth world. Ally and Brooke proved their knowledge and expertise for me to feel comfortable to have a beautiful physiological birth. Throughout our journey together I felt their calm presence and knew that I was going to be able to achieve the birth I envisioned with their support.

Allie was the assistant midwife in my homebirth experience as a first time mom. I gave birth to my daughter in June 2024. While I did not experience my entire pregnancy with Allie as my care provider, I am thrilled she joined when she did! I met her at my 35 week home visit with my primary midwife, Brooke. She is kind, compassionate, and patient. Allie's energy is incredibly calm and nurturing. She is not easily ruffled or overwhelmed. Her warmth and enduring mellow nature is supportive of home birth and the ebs and flows of birth as a whole. I cannot share how valuable her presence and support was in my birth story. I am so incredibly excited to be working with her again through Malachite Midwifery as my husband and I anticipate the arrival of our next little love later this year.
