Manhattan Primary Care - New York

Had an appointment today that I booked on Zocdoc. The door was locked; nobody was in the office! I called twice while I waited 40 minutes outside the door, left messages, no return call. I called in advance to ensure they take my insurance; they do. I also confirmed my appointment. I took time off work, paid for transportation, and fasted. I'm shocked any business could be this rude, with no call in advance to rebook.

I will not return to this office. I went in for a straightforward urgent issue, but Dr Tangirala gave very little attention to my concern and was dismissive when I asked for something as simple as a bandage. She is not my regular PCP; this was a one-time urgent matter. Instead of feeling cared for, I experienced hostility and unprofessional behavior, including being shouted at in front of other patients and having my prescription canceled (denying me care). She also threatened to report me (for what, I don’t know). As a patient, I expect respectful communication and basic medical attention, but this visit left me shaken, traumatized, and without confidence in the provider. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this doctor to others.

Awful, billing and referral nightmare. In addition theres little to no communication. The Doctor is never there. I have been trying to resolve a bill from Quest Lab for a year because the billing is incorrect. Do not go here. If you need a referral forget about it. Took 6 weeks. The level of unprofessionalim and incompetence is beyond.

never saw the doctor yet they charge me for a doctors visit? nothing against the PA that saw me she was very kind but she's not a DOCTOR. Extremely frustrated with my experience and will not be returning. They give no notice when the doctor isn't in the office. The receptionist said she went home early because she "wasn't feeling well" twice in a week? something is fishy. No doctors office should be allowed to do what they did. Absolutely ridiculous and unethical.

Long story short, don't see her. It'll save you a lot of time and headache. I started seeing Dr. Tangirala about 8 months ago. Communication was horrible from the start. Wouldn't send prescriptions and wouldn't send referrals. After 8 months and three appointments she completely ghosted me. Had two appointments canceled and the receptionist won't return my calls. Currently trying to get my records sent to my new PCP but nobody returns my calls. Avoid.
