Tick bite: Provider never asked to see the bite. Said my symptoms (fever, headache and neck pain) were a cold or flu. Very resistant to my obtaining bloodwork/titer. Told me it was a “low risk bite” as it was not engorged and was removed intact - when in fact it WAS engorged and was removed without the head! She had no information to make this deduction. She said this bite did not warrant antibiotics - CDC recommends prophylactic treatment after tick is embedded 36 hrs- It had been 48hrs for me. She was Dismissive and uninformed, I will never seek medical care from M Shogul again.
