I am not one to write reviews, but I am extremely disappointed with the fact that after my first visit, with the PA which was Pleasant and I thought I would have a good experience moving forward, ended up in my disappointment. The doctor had wanted me to go for MRIs before any further discussions of treatment and it’s been over 2 months now and I still have not gotten an MRI because the doctor has failed to supply a code. I have called multiple times to follow up on the MRI and always get the same answer that they’re going to send it to the higher up, but I still don’t have a code for it . So refuse to further continue with this practice bc god forbid an emergency (or not) one shouldn’t have to beg over and over again for them to do their job.

My relationship with Dr. Mchugh and his office in commack was very short lived and absolutely terrible. I came in for back surgery. The surgeon, Dr. McHugh was insisting I get a second MRI because the first one was done by a machine that was so old and couldn’t pick up on imaging. I myself work for healthcare and I do authorizations for a living and it can be very challenging. The second MRI that his office did an auth for got denied because I just had one only a few months prior. MY INSURANCE COMPANY SEVERAL PEOPLE FROM MY INSURANCE COMPANY TOLD ME A PEER TO PEER HAD TO BE DONE. THEY KEPT APPEALING IT LIKE LAZY SACK OF POTATOES BECAUSE GETTING TOGETHER CLINICALS AND FAXING THEM OVER IS EASIER ON THEM VERSUS SETTING UP A PEER TO PEER. His assistant John was absolutely rude and told me my

On April 25 2023 I had a decompression and fusion on L4 & L5. I was losing function in my right leg with some numbness. Dr. Brian McHugh is VERY articulate, patient, and caring! He is extremely accessible for a man with his schedule. It's 6 weeks and I'm walking, working and starting out patient physical therapy. I feel fantastic! I'm so glad I picked him!! He will be with me for the next year. Could not have been any better experience!!
