Metzger Holcomb Animal Clinic

I’ve had 4 dogs since living in the Black Hills of S. D. and before discovering Dr. Holcomb I’d been to Vets from Belle Fourche to Spearfish and Sturgis. I happily have been a customer and my dogs her patients for 16 years. She’s provided every critical service including basic check ups medication and Hills Science Diet for all 4 . Presently I only have my Mack left, he’s incredible and rescued ( as all my furbies) 4.2 years ago. I realize other veterinary clinics are flashier and present a completely different appearance on the surface but Dr. Holcomb truly cares more for our best friends than perhaps people. That’s exactly why I will never leave. Our best friends who depend on us deserve such people in their lives. I hope everyone will consider allowing a true caring individual such as D

Dr. Holcomb is amazing! She has a demeanor that makes me comfortable, and feel safe. My cat is very old (around 18) and she kept having UTIs. The week after Christmas, my usual vet (until now) couldn't get her in for 4 days, so I started searching around for another. I came across this listing and read some reviews. Gave them a call and got in the next day! She asked a lot of questions, gave advice for unrelated things and tested her thyroid, which hadn't been done before. Turns out, my sweet Naomi, has hyperthyroidism and a heart murmur. Now she's on a daily medication, no more UTI and buying her prescription food through their office is $20 cheaper than Chewy's website. Her prices, attentiveness, and overall give a dang made me the happiest old cat owner ever! We will continue to schedul

Cannot say enough about them! After going missing for a few days my cat came home with a significant facial injury that was already starting to smell infected. It's Christmas Eve and I called so many veterinarians between Gillette and Spearfish as I live in Sundance. They were the only ones that didn't hesitate and gave me the time to drive from Sundance to Spearfish to see my injured cat saving me a trip to the emergency vet in Rapid City. When I arrived they were friendly, kind and most of all highly competent. Much appreciated!

We've been going to Dr Holcomb for years and will always go to her first! You can't beat her knowledge, care, or generous prices.

I always receive compassionate care for all of my animals, I wouldn't take them anywhere else.
