Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital Vanderbilt at Williamson Medical Center

We can’t say enough good things about Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital at Williamson Medical Center. They have taken exceptional care of both of our young children. From the moment we arrived at the ER the staff was prompt, attentive, and compassionate. When we were admitted, the Drs and nurses were great and made sure that we were comfortable during our stay. Every provider we encountered was helpful and informative, taking time to answer questions and ease our concerns. We are so thankful for the care that we have received! Would highly recommend!

Maternity ward is AMAZING. Dr Franklin delivered our new baby girl here by emergency c-section in the wee hours of the morning. Scary times. What made the experience 5 stars though was the nursing staff, food services team, cleaning staff and the newness of the rooms. VERY quiet rooms - I did not expect that. At times it competed with our honey-moon at a four seasons for luxury! Positive vibes from the nursing staff the entire time. No bickering over treatments or snide comments. A large number of the staff have found their true calling in helping people and it rubs off on everyone else. Even room-service people on the phone had a sense of humor! Had to deal with the emergency room and security over the last few days too. Gotta say they were great. I think the emergency room is nice here

Outstanding facility and staff. The rooms are nice and the West Tower is well designed. Our little buddy ran a high temperature and we needed to go for observation/testing for 2 nights, and we were glad to be in a smaller facility where the staff could take care of us quickly and efficiently. We were seen immediately. Dr. Carrie Lind was awesome, and we had great nurses on the 3rd floor - Debbie and Cheyenne. Also helpful is the connection with Vanderbilt since our buddy goes there for his pediatrician. Glad to have a good pediatric hospital nearby. Thanks WMC!

As a Triage RN, I have long recommended Williamson Children’s ER and have personally sent many pediatric patients there, always trusting they would receive high-quality, attentive care. Unfortunately, based on a recent experience with my own child, I can no longer say that with confidence. We brought our 12-month-old to the ER for increased work of breathing — respiratory rate in the 60s, O2 saturation at 88%, and visible retractions. While on the way, we performed a home COVID/flu test, which was positive for COVID. In hindsight, I regret sharing that result with the care team, particularly with Dr. Stephen Gradwohl, as it appeared to effect his entire assessment. He entered the room seemingly having already decided on a course of action — without laying eyes on our child or conducting

Came here with my 2 year old to get sutures. Front staff was friendly, nurses and doctors were fantastic. Triaged and treated quickly. So thankful for the nurses, doctors, and xray techs during a scary time!
