First of all, I wanna start by saying thanks to Doctor Rao For his caring and dedication to this town and I also want to think his two employees, Angie and Maria that have stuck by Dr. Rao for many years and are very loyal and dedicated employees that care about their job. I feel it is a shame how after so many years of him giving back to the community and donating millions of dollars. Saint Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam hire him as an employee ,throw him in a little double wide trailer looking building ,that smells like sewer ,That was probably abandoned for a God knows how many years due to sewer problems. I have been going to Dr. Rao since I was a very small child and after having many negative experiences with him, I have to say if you can afford to take your child to anyone else please do it. I have a very distinct memory of me being 14 and having a new cartilage piercing that was rejecting. I went to Dr. Rao hoping he could help me and instead I was lectured about how I should not be putting so many holes in my body. That was very unprofessional. A medical professional should not impose their opinions on their patients, especially if something was done with parent permission. And honestly, he probably put more passion in that conversation than he has ever put in improving his attitude. Dr. Rao and Dr. Bob have treated my children and myself for as long as I can remember. The care they have for their patients is paramount. Myself and many others love them and the work they have done over many years, they are some of the only doctors that care so much for their patients that they will see them in the hospitals and ask for updates on their patients, even with their extremely busy schedules they will answer the phone no matter what time it is. They have cared for so many children and helped so many parents through difficult times. They are easily 10 star doctors even if the count only goes to 5.

Dr. Rao is one of the greatest and most humble human beings I have ever encountered. The pediatrician for all of my children. When my oldest daughter was a toddler she was very sick with a virus. Dr. Rao took the time out to call and follow up with her health while his was away in California! What doctor does that?! This man and his practice is truly a blessing to our local community and the world!

Dr. Rao may have been good a long time ago but not anymore. There are good nurses and other doctors there but Rao is one of the most unprofessional I've ever met. For probably ten years me and my siblings had problems with our tonsils, he never once tested us for anything, just looked in our mouths for half a second, says "ew" and prescribed antibiotics for "strep throat". Multiple times a year for years. With zero tests. Now we all have stomach problems due to what seems like negligence and malpractice. My only guess is that he thinks knows everything from a half second glance because he's "experienced". Pretty concerning. But thanks for years of fake medical care Rao!
