Newburgh Urgent Care (Middletown Medical)

I came to Newburgh Urgent care In the mid Valley Mall this morning with a terribly painful bout of diverticulitis. I am so pleased with the caring nurses and the doctor or PA who treated me at this facility. I left there pain-free and was taken care of with a CAT scan and blood work that was returned right away. It's so good to know this place is nearby and has state of the art equipment to take care of every one of your health needs.

I came to this office in July 2025 and was VERY pleased. From the first human interaction at the front desk to the call center team, everyone was kind and professional. The medical assistant that checked me in was so much fun, meanwhile I’m near tears talking about my health issue. She made me feel completely comfortable while expressing my vulnerability. The doctor/physician assistant I saw was professional, knowledgeable, and listened to all of my concerns with full attention. Other than feeling like I was seen/heard, I did not wait very long to be seen. I was in and out in under 45 minutes! I used the call center twice; once or a referral related need and the second time for a question related to activity after diagnosis. As a registered nurse, I didn’t expect much going here. I was expecting long wait times, poor communication, and insensitive staff—unfortunately like how most healthcare facilities are nowadays. I came here and was proven wrong. The staff did a great job—from the secretaries to the physician assistant to the radiology department. Everyone worked well together and got me the acute care I needed. The physician assistant Janet Pennisi did a great job of helping with my acute back pain. I was hopeless after trying different over-the-counter medications/heat therapies/etc. but she gave me a toradol injection and prescribed me steroids and flexiril. Went there with my 1 1/2yr old who had a fever. I never been there before but the receptionist was very helpful being able to find his insurance card. We were taken quick and the nurse and doctor were both very sweet and helpful. It made my nerves which were already high calm down and felt very safe having them see my son. I will definitely come back if he ever has more problems. Thank you so much!

Val day visit for rusty nail puncture - have never had such a positive urgentcare visit - barely a wait, downright jolly crew of caregivers, who treated me to the full monty in short order: tetanus shot, xray, antibiotics sent to pharmacy. All inside of 45 min visit. Thanks be to NUC (middletown)!
