Nicklaus Children’s Hospital

I wish i could give a ranking of 10/10 as the staff here and care are truly phenomenal. If you have ever been to another hospital in a foreign world or even others in the US. Nicklaus children’s hospital ranks in the top two of the entire US. We traveled here from Puerto Rico and the level of service and care far exceeds anything you would receive there. Dr Burke and Dr Duarte along with Dr Martinez and the entire cardiology staff and personnel were incredible. We felt like they were part of our family and took care of our son as if he were theirs. Impressed that he was able to have open heart surgery and was finished 48hours later to go home. Thank you to the entire staff at the hospital!

I honestly expected to have to wait hours as most ERs go. I was so impressed by the staff's friendliness and efficiency. I'm sure it's hit or miss if they get busy but I was very thankful we weren't stuck there for hours with 3 kids. The PA and the doctor were both great (I do wish the discharge papers listed who the providers were as I don't recall their names; I just know the doctor was Irish). I thought our concerns might get dismissed because hours had passed from the incident and our son was looking much better (we first went to urgent care that wasn't a Nicklaus Children’s location because unfortunately, their urgent cares don't open till 11 am which that I did find very odd and extremely disappointing) and the urgent care sent us to the children's ER for further evaluation as they w

Worst experience, the lady who checked us in last night at the ER said i was required to produce a birth certificate to prove who he is while my son was there having difficulty breathing. I am explaining to her that I don't have those document and I'm hear trying to get him help. I had to call someone to go take a picture of it for me in order for him to get checked in. It was absolutely ridiculous. This would have been around 6-6:30 pm.

Dr. Nolan Nielsen is an incredible Doctor, one of the best we have ever had the privilege of being seen by. He took the time to listen and found the reason mu daughter was so ill. I am so happy Nicklaus has him on board.

Great experience, used the ER and everything went so smoothly. The nurses and staff were patient and kind, physician was knowledgeable and correctly identified and treated the condition.
