Northside Hospital Cancer Institute Radiation Oncology - Blairsville

My Husband had been going for his treatments here, the staff was so great to him in his time of need. Thank you all for being so compassionate to him... he passed on August 19th 2025

Everyone on the staff was always so helpful, kind, considerate, and professional in helping me through this very stressful and scary time. They were always on time at every one of my 30 appointments and willing to accommodate any changes I needed to scheduled appointments. I was never rushed through appointments. Most important is the very personal way you are treated. Many medical facilities could learn how to treat patients from Cancer Center at Blairsville.

I gave this 4 stars though my experience there was exceptional. Every single person there gave excellent service except for Dr Barnes. I appreciate his expertise in His field, but that's where it ends. He created chaos on Wednesdays when it was his day ro see the patients. He would take a patient before He was supposed to which threw the radiology team off schedule . Most of the time I saw him in a t shirt , tennis shoes, and jogging shorts. I mentioned that I was experiencing nausea one day, and his reply was "There is no PHYSICAL reason you should have nausea". That is why I mentioned it. I had breast radiation, so it didn't make sense to me. I went home, did research, and I found out you can have nausea even though it's not a common side effect with breast radiation. I did no

I just finished radiation treatments here and want to thank the staff for making a very scary experience a little less scary. So blessed to have a cancer center in our town. Thank you to Dr. Barnes, Maggie, Kelly, Jenny, David and everyone there that helped. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your compassion. ❤

I was pretty scared going in to the center, at first, but my fears were immediately put to rest. The staff is amazing. Please donate Please help the center buy things the patients can do while treatments are going on.. This building is full of angels.
