Novant Health Urgent Care – Hilton Head (Formerly Doctors Care)

The staff at Novant was excellent and the service I received was 5 star. The front desk girl was so sweet and the nurse was attentive. The doctor was thoughtful and thoroughly went through everything explains my circumstances. If you ever have a medical emergency please seek the attention of this staff as they are the best I’ve ever encountered at an Ugent Care facility. Caring concerned compassionate and I felt relieved just from how I was treated.

I normally don’t ever write reviews, but today’s experience was too disappointing and unprofessional not to share. We went to urgent care after my boyfriend dropped a 45 lb weight on his toe because we were worried it might be broken. From the moment we arrived, no one asked why he needed to be seen. Instead, they immediately required a $199 upfront payment. Even the online paperwork we completed beforehand never once asked the reason for the visit. At no point prior to payment did anyone ask about his injury or explain the services available at this location. Basic intake questions should be standard practice. While I was in the waiting room as he was being seen, another patient came in after a fall and was told he would need an X-ray — and that’s when staff said they don’t perform X-rays

Very disappointed on the efficiency of this clinic. I came in for an anpp for my sick child and the front desk told me it was a 2 hour wait and to make an appointment so that my sick 7 yo would be able to walk in and be seen. So I made the appointment and still sat for over two hours; because I made the online appointment they told me that we would top on the list to be seen. 5 ppl went in front of us. On top of that my I was charged 1.5 times the usual cost of a sick visit for my child with my insurance. If you want to wait an extremely long time and be charged an insane amount visit this clinic. 🫠😑

Can’t speak highly enough about the medical staff. Jason quickly diagnosed my issue and gave me an injection to relieve the pain. Went from barely able to walk when I arrived, to being able to walk out with no pain! Wholeheartedly recommend them.

I showed up at urgent care with a deep hand laceration after deciding to open a bottle of champagne with my USMC NCO sword (I got the idea from Napoleon 🇫🇷). Naturally, it was right after my wife left for a 10-day vacation perfect timing for unsupervised Marine ingenuity. Jason Wright was calm, compassionate, and the picture of professionalism. Despite every opportunity to crack a joke or question my judgment, he didn’t he just went straight to work. Since I waited too long for the 10+ stitches I probably needed, he went full MacGyver, sealing me up with super glue, Steri-Strips, and bandages that would make any field medic proud. Even on Veterans Day a former Army medic treating a former Marine infantryman Jason showed nothing but respect and outstanding care. A consummate professional
